Slade Point State School is proud to be partnered with a number of local community groups and initiatives.

Breakfast Club: Operates daily out of the Tuckshop from 8am - 8:25am with the ongoing support from Cummins Mackay. All students are welcome!

Playgroup: Operates each Wednesday mornings from 9am - 11am in the classroom next to the P and C uniform shop nearest to the junior eating area at no cost. Our Play group caters for 2 years to 4 year olds. This is a great opportunity to build relationships with other parents/caregivers and with your children. Everyone is welcome to attend!

Slade Point Medical Centre: Is a wonderful business partner to our school and assists with whole school programs such as health, hygiene and healthy eating throughout the year. The staff are very supportive and provide valuable assistance in testing our students' hearing each year.

In 2018 we have formed a new partnership with Woollams Construction Mackay, a generous and highly skilled local building company. We are very pleased to have Woollams join with us to support our students learning.

Slade Point Neighbourhood Watch: We are very well supported by our local Neighbourhood Watch Committee who have supported in school events such as The Annual School Christmas Concert and many of our P and C fundraising events. These wonderful Slade Point residents reinforce our commitment to being a 'family school'.

In 2018 we would also like to acknowledge the support of North Mackay Rotary Club for sponsoring our parent/child cooking classes, Woolworths Andergrove and Coles Canelandsfor their assistance with breakfast club and attendance day lunch.
