Slade Point State School is equipped to provide the very best opportunities in learning about digital technologies.
All teachers have fully interactive projectors being used every day to deliver the Australian curriculum. We have begun upgrading these projectors to large interactive learning panels.
All classes use the fully equipped computer lab in the resource center for their studies. Several classrooms have their own handful of desktops/laptops for learning and schoolwork activites.
The school owns a large fleet of iPads that are used daily by all grade levels. We also have additional ipads with assistive technology dedicated to help provide learning support to both staff and students.
In 2021, we launched our first full '1-to-1 iPad Classroom' program with our Year 6 students. Each student is assigned their own ipad to assist with their studies in the classroom, and further their understanding and ability with using technology.
This iPad Classroom program has now been extended to include our Year 5 cohort as well.
