Slade Point State School, is located along Slade Point Road out on the very beautiful Eastern Peninsula of Mackay bordering with Lamberts beach. We cater for prep to year 6 students with the current enrolment of 185 students. Slade Point State School has a proud record of working with parents to meet the educational needs of our students.

Slade Point State School is renowned for its’ range of cultural experiences and diverse learning opportunities including the string ensemble and school choir. Our community has produced outstanding sporting athletes including Olympic Gold medallist Cathy Freeman with the local sporting field named in her honour and our students continue to excel in a variety of sports. We are very proud of the sporting, academic and cultural secondary scholarship winners produced over the past several years.
Slade Point State school is well recognised for its' inclusive education style. We are committed to providing opportunities for all our students including our vulnerable learners. As a family school we are here for our parents in need of support and don't just stop our offer of assistance at the school gate.
Slade Point School is highly regarded for its innovative use of technology providing a fully equipped computer labs, class sets of iPads and banks of computers in classes for daily student use. Our modern designed Resource Centre is second to none and larger than most others in the Mackay area. At Slade Point State School, we are very proud of our traditions, garden landscaping and embrace modern teaching styles.
